Iron deficiency
Ferritin & iron panel prices
These are ordinary blood tests run by big national labs, so price differences come down to the storefront. Most need an in-person draw at a Quest or Labcorp location.
Ferritin (single test)
Last checked
Ferritin alone reflects iron stores; it can read high during inflammation, which is why many people pair it with a full panel.

Plain-English notes
- Ferritin vs. a full panel: ferritin reflects stored iron but rises with inflammation, so a "normal" ferritin doesn't always rule out low iron. Iron + TIBC + saturation add context. Your doctor can tell you which you need.
- Fasting: Quest and Walk-In Lab both list fasting/morning collection for the iron panel. Check the prep notes before booking.
- Insurance: if you have insurance, a doctor-ordered test may cost less than any cash price here. Worth one phone call.
